  1. Calories. Weight loss is all about calories. Eat more than your body needs and you gain, eat less than it needs and you lose. It's as simple as that.
  2. Homeopathic Treatment for Excessive Fat and Weight :- PHYTOLACCA BERRY's Mother Tincture is perhaps the safest and sure fire way of loosing excessive fat around abdomen. With Phytolacca Berry once you loose the excessive fat and weight you don't get it back because you body takes care of itself after that and keeps you from gathering up excessive fat. It is prescribed after having a baby too, to get the tummy to loose its flab and to make it flatter and tighter. And after loosing weight with this you don't get flabby it tightens up the flab and skin along with helping your body to shed the excessive accumulation of fat around the girth The dosage is 15 to 20 drops of the tincture in half a cup of hot water thrice a day half hour before or after meals. Avoid Chocolates, Coffee, Mints, Red Meat and Carbonated and Alcoholic drinks while taking Homeopathic Medicines. You have to take it for at least 30 to 45 days after that you start to feel the results. To the best of my knowledge its the safest and the most sure fire way of loosing fat and weight and keeping it of for keeps. Excellent remedy for Obese people who cant seem to shed weight despite trying. Loose as much as you want to ! Homeopathic Remedies can be found at all Major Herbal Stores or could be bought on line, In most of the world Homeopathic remedies are quite cheap and easy to find and they do not need a prescription. Take care and God Bless ! P.S Regular active exercise is advised with all weight loosing medicines and remedies :-) Take care
  3. this article has some great weight loss and exercise programs and also a weight mass index to let you know the weight you should be for yr height. you should be able to find a substitute for yr cravings
  4. Portion control, which is really just calorie counting. As a society, we've gotten used to huge restaurant and fast food portions. And that's another tip--avoid eating out. Also, exercise is more helpful than diet. Do something! Walk if nothing else. Besides the calories the activitiy uses, it raises your metabolism. Losing, and especially keeping weight off, is a lifestyle thing.
  5. if you just getting started you dont need to count your carbs or calories. need to replace one or two bad meals with good meals. about your sweet problem , any time you feel you need to take anything sweet if you wait 10 to 15 min your body doesnot need it any more Good luck Let me know if you have any other question kalifit@yahoo.com
  6. It is a tricky question, but if you have to choose one or another, I recommend counting carbs. Regarding your chocolate cravings, have you tried a sugar free version? Another way to go about it, if you like dark chocolate, go with 85%, my favorite is 95% actually.
  7. Neither, counting sheep is best. The more you sleep the less you eat.
  8. Check calories. An individual serving shouldn't have more than 100 calories. Try those 100 calorie packs. And eat organic foods. Organic life is so much healthier. YummY! Good lucK!
  9. if you really wanted to lose weight you would be able to control what you eat and what you should not eat! just eat healthy, and go for walks. dont let food be your weakness because you are ruining your health for it
  10. You are better off counting calories. Since I have been dieting I have tried two things counting carbs and counting calorie!! i had no luck counting carbs!! I definatly had a lot of luck counting calories I have lost pleanty of weight! Good Luck!!
  11. All this carb fad is not working in the long run. I know I tried that. When you get rid of carbs it works for the short term.Mostly what you loose with no carbs is water. Get rid of bad carbs such as white flour, sugar. Good carbs are whole grains, etc. What you need to do is get alot of fat out of your diet. Not all fats, some are good such as Omega 3. But saturated fats are a huge problem in our diets, You have to do cardio! You got to move, so important! Always check with your doctor before starting a weight loss plan!
  12. Boy, do I understand... I'm doing it myself right now... but I seemed to have gotten over the "hump". It is said that it takes about 3 weeks to get familiar with something and double that time when it finally becomes a habit. Here is my favorite site that should help you: http://www.calorie-count.com/ You could make a list of all the foods you would eat (healthy and unhealthy) and see what the calories are for every serving. If some of the items you look up on your list are not worth eating because they have so many calories, then you might be more apt to stick with eating the items that don't. This kind of system is great as it is also a stage in your healthy eating regime that allows you to pre-plan and be pro-active! :) So that when you shop, you'll know which foods and how much you can get. Try to not buy canned/pre-packaged/refined foods (fruit, dinners, sauces, etc.)... always buy/make it fresh. It's a therapeutic process and allows you to really think about what you're going to consume when you arrive at the finished product. Small changes help --> 100% whole wheat bread instead of white, eliminating condiments (yes, I know... I love them, too!), walking to the mailbox instead of driving, switch sugar with honey, etc. etc. etc. Eat like: * a king for breakfast * a prince for lunch * and a pauper for dinner ... plus a few snacks in between.... If you feel like eating chocolate, then have some... and always remember that the good, healthy meals you have during the day are keeping you energized and healthy inside as well. Chocolate is your reward... and in time, you will notice that you don't crave as much. Do NOT deny yourself your treat! Eat tons of sweeter fruit if you want to stave off a chocolate craving - strawberries, canteloupe, peaches, etc.... Best of luck - I'm with you in spirit!!! :)
  13. i've lost nearly 100 pounds counting calories. forget about carbs its too difficult and you will end up giving up or losing track if you do it that way.
  14. Read that book "Curves" by the founder of the Curves fitness club. It explains how some people are better off doing calories, while others need to watch the carbs. It helped me, I am a carb addict and when I cut them out the weight started flying off. (with exercise, of course!)
  15. Research research research. You need to research what a healthy diet is. Also, your sweet tooth is your body craving fruits. Fruits are loaded with powerful anti-oxidants (I could literally go on for a day about the benefits of those), good carbs, healthy fats, and they taste great. Eat 6 times per day, your three squares, plus three smaller, protein laiden snacks. Though you'll be eating 6 times per day, you'll actually consume fewer calories because you won't be as hungry and you will avoid your sweet tooth by eating healthy!!! http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/customfitnessclinic/ Join up to ask a more detailed question and get better answers!
  16. Counting carbs. People on a low-carbohydrate/high-fat diet tend to have lower appetites and eat less.
  17. weight loss tips Today there is too much information available on losing weight that has become more confusing and sometimes difficult to follow. It’s actually very easy to lose weight if you follow my weight loss tips. * Be in right frame of mind Before you can start any diet program you need to be in the right frame of mind. If you do not feel good about yourself you probably will not want to choose healthy foods. You cannot expect the act of going on a diet to make you feel better about yourself. The only way you can choose to eat a healthy diet to lose weight is if you have a positive self-image. * Eat whole food Top weight loss tips Eat whole foods that are as natural as possible. When you eat whole foods that are full of nutrients your body will know how much to eat and how much not to eat. You do not have to count calories because your body is a wonderful machine. * Eat fresh fruit Eat at least two servings of fresh fruit every day. Choose whatever type of fruit is in season. * Drink enough water Drink the best weight loss supplement known to man, water. Most people do not know the difference from being hungry for food or thirsty for water. A great deal of times people eat when they should drink. Most likely you will not feel as hungry if you are getting enough water. You will be satisfying the thirst, which is confused for hunger. Water also helps you digest food better. Drinking water before you eat will help fill you up. * Always chew your food Always chew your food well. Chewing your food well will ensure that you get the most nutrients out of your food. Getting the most nutrients will satisfy your body therefore you will eat less. Another benefit of chewing well is that it helps aid in digestion. * Take small meals Eat small, frequent meals in a day. Large meals tax your digestion system, making it work harder. Taking too much time in between meals makes you hungrier for the next meal. * Include protein at meal Include good sources of protein at meal, chicken, fish, legumes, peanut, cottage cheese, eggs or yogurt. * Shut off TV while eating Shut off the TV whenever you eat – that includes meals and snacks. Studies show that we automatically eat larger portions when we snack in front of the tube, and typically those foods are high in fat and sugar, which means excess calories! * Increase your physical activity Increase your physical activity. Most people are over weight because of a lack of physical activity. Start walking more, bicycling, walks your dog for longer periods of time, swim, dance and leave the car at home when you can. It’s important that you choose a physical activity that you enjoy because you’ll stick with it.

The following healthy living recommendations will help you if you’re trying to lose weight, tone up your muscles, have aspirations of building lean muscle mass, are attempting to get a wash board stomach, or just want to feel better: *1) Burn more calories then you're consuming everyday and measure your results using the following formula: Calories Consumed minus Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) minus Physical Activity minus the Thermic Effect of Food (TEF).
