Ways to lose pounds fast

What are some simple ways to help me lose a few pounds?

I'm a dancer, and I dance like 8 1/2 to like 18 hours a week depending on my schedule. However, I'm almost 5'4" and weigh about 115 lbs. I'd like to lower my weight a bit because I'm still quite young and would like to be a bit lighter for partner dancing. What are some simple exersizes/ tips I can follow to help me lose a few pounds? I don't think I look obese at all, but I do think I have some extra body fat I could lose. Also, please note that I don't have a lot of free time, so can't devote another hour and a half each day to cardiovascular exersizes. TIA!

  1. See a doctor, I do not think you need to lose weight. I am the same height, and weigh more than you = you are actually considered underweight...
  2. Burn more calories than you eat. Cut your fat intake. Eat three cups of fat free low cal yogurt a day (make sure it has live cultures in it) and pineapples. This helps you break down your food and promotes fat loss. Do 30 min of weight training two times a week. This will build more lean muscle which will in turn burn more fat. Keep moving all the time. Tap you feet while at the computer, tap you hands on your legs while walking. Keep moving and keep burning calories.
  3. Even though you are a dancer, 5' 4" and 115 is very, very thin. Your body mass index is 19.7 and healthy is considered 20-25. So technically you are beneath a healthy weight already. I would not attempt to lose anymore weight, especially if you are quite young and still growing. You will harm your overall health which is more important than dancing.
  4. Losing weight is a simple equation: if you burn more calories than you eat, the weight will come off. Start off by estimating how many calories you burn each day using the calorie calculator http://straighthealth.com/pages/tools/caloriecalclb.html This will give you an idea of how many calories to eat. Healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week. To lose 1 pound per week you need to create a calorie deficit (burn more than you eat) of 500 calories per day. To lose 2 pounds a week, you have to double the deficit to 1000 calories per day. You can achieve this by eating less, exercising more or a combination of both. 5. You don't say anything about your general health or body structure. Go to yourbodyistalkingtoyou.com. Answer the Free Diagnosis Profile. If your body is out of balance, it may show in your profile. The web page is a program to get your body closer to a peak. Then you will be nearer your correct weight.
  6. If you drink soda, eliminating it from your diet will help you lose 15 lbs a year. May not sound like much, but if you substitute green tea (diet, if you prefer), this is much healthier and will help you maintain your weight loss. You do not sound as though you have much to lose; of course, stay away from white flour and sugar and watch what happens!
  7. a really easy way is to cut out sodas. you could lose 10 pounds in a year without doing anything else
