What is the best way to lose 55 pounds?

I'm 12 years old and I'm 198 pounds and 5' 9" I looked up on the internet that I should weigh about 143 pounds. Whats is the best way to effortlessly lose this weight without running up my moms credit card?

  1. Um... your really tall for 12. But anyways, run everday and eat healthy. If you dont know alot about eating healthy, do alittle research on the internet. My golden rule, "Never eat anything that came in a bag or box"
  2. err....wow you are really tall for a twelve year old. im 13 and im 5"4 and i weight 120 so use wight watchers its not very expensice or you could use good old fashioned workout and eat healthy
  3. I'm kinda in the same situation as you. I'm almost 13 and I'm 5'7" and weigh 167lbs. I just recently started cutting out soda, pizza, basically junk, and in a matter of 3 days, I've lost 6 pounds, which is pretty tremendous. I just got back from a ski trip, and skiing used muscles I didn't even know I had. I recommend you try it, it's really fun. I don't think you want to take to this, but since I'm a guy, I can, I lift 15lb barbells for about 30 mins a day, three times a week. I also do push-ups, sit-ups, weight push ups, and bicycle crunches. They seem to work very well. I haven't lost much, but I can already see results.
  4. Change your eating habits, eat whole grains, weights with cardio. No saturated fats. NOTHING deep fried. Keep at it.
  5. As a teen, it's only natural for you to be active and eat when you're hungry and stop when you're full. Know the "bad" foods like chips, cookies, cakes, and soda(both diet and regular) and try to avoid them as much as possible. Do you have a treadmill? Then you can run inside, especially during this rainy season. If you dont, simply buy a jump rope and do your exercise while enjoy some TV. The most important thing is not to be so obsessed with losing weight. It is only going to sabotage you, not help you. Just know your goal well and think before you eat! After a few months your on a healthy eating plan and its easy to stick to.
