Ways to lose pounds fast

What is the best way to lose inches?

It isn't my weight I'm concerned about... my goal is to be able to wear a pair of Hollister jeans before I return to school in late August. What would your recommend doing to lose inches in the waist and hip area. I have been playing Wii Fit for a few days, and I'm already beginning to tell my clothes are fitting more loosely! :D Thanks 4 all the help!

  3. Hi Music Lover, I got your email and Id be glad to tell you more about how I did it... Well the first thing you need to do is look at your diet. Not so much the foods you eat as WHEN you eat and HOW MUCH you eat. The secret is to eat VERY SLOWLY. Eat until the feeling of "I'm hungry" kinda dies down, and stop eating. Don't eat until your full, don't even eat until your satisfied, just eat enough to where your body wont starve and you have enough energy to push yourself a bit. The best method to weight loss is cut back on large meals. I'm talking do eat more than like, about the size of half a hamburger, at once. Then wait at least an hour to two hours and eat again, keeping it small. Also try to eat about 6-8 small meals (well more like snacks but ya) every day. Eating in this fashion will cause your metabolism to kick up going in to a kind of "survival mode" and you body to produce more HDL Cholesterol (this is the GOOD cholesterol, it basically cleans the trash out of you system). HDL rely helps you lose weight, and feel better while losing so you can keep your energy up. The stuff you eat also matters to some smaller degree. I just went with Fruits, Vegetables, Crackers, and a lot of milk. It wont kill your diet to eat some bad stuff, I still had Mac-n-Cheese for at least one meal a week, its the quantity you eat of it that kills your metabolism and makes it easy to gain. Also don't eat one hour before bed, try not to drink a lot of fluids with food. Eat breakfast every day within an hour of waking up (just food, it ain't gotta be breakfast food), DRINK LOTS OF WATER! and take every opportunity to be active.. like if the place your going has stairs and a elevator, go stair climbing. Or if you want a icie from the corner store, walk instead of driving. etc... Anyway, the only exercising I did was hula hooping. That's it. But I DID hula hoop an average of about an hour a day for the first two weeks then ever week I would kick it up another hour a day. By the end of summer I was doing 7 hours a day without breaking a sweat (with a weighted hula hoop by the way, they are the ones you need to get; or you can just get a normal one, break it at the seam, fill it a bit with water and reseal it) The hula hoop is by far the most effective workout for your hips, love handles, abs, butt, and legs Ive ever seen. If you try it for yourself for a week you'll know what I'm talking about, you can feel it. You can also hold some little 2lb weights in your hands after a month or so of warming up, if you want to work on your arms at the same time. It didn't rely take THAT much willpower because I just stood in my room watching TV while I did it, so at least I was entertained. Every time I wanted to quit I just looked at myself in the mirror for awhile, saying to myself "This is your choice, is this how stupid you are to rely choose this out of every choice you have? What are you an idiot?" When I left 8th grade all those years ago I weighed in at a chunky 180ish, 5'9m, size 14pants. I was called Lassy and spit at and... well it wasn't pleasant to say the least. By the first day of high school 3 months later I weighed in at a toned ( I had a mini 6pac), slender 117, 5'9, with a size 6! That summer rely was hell though. Ill never forget it though, it though me something about willpower, dedication, and shear determination. DO NOT HURT YOURSELF HOWEVER!!! If at any point you: 1. feel dizzy 2. see spots in front of your eyes 3. start having... BM troubles stop what your doing, sit down and eat and drink! Good luck, be safe and hope it helps! ps 2 things, 1st if you don't know how to hula, or cant do it, don't stress, if you just keep trying for a few days you get it. I couldn't do it for more than 3 sec when I first started. 2nd, this worked for me, make sure you leave allowances for your own personal things, everyone is different. I did this just again recently. I am 22 now & I just had my first baby last November. I walked out of the hospital at 187lbs, and by March 3rd this year I was back to 126. Good luck and if you need any more help feel free to email me anytime! ~Heather
