  1. First off, you should tell us your height. Than, maybe we can answer your question.
  2. i am in eighth grade too and i would have to say that maybe 150 is a little bit on the big size but dont stress about it too much. Just be yourself and dont worry too much about your weight. To tell you iif you are fat then you would have to give more information like how tall you are and stuff, but it doesnt seem fat or overweight. there is no way to lose weight fast, you just have to eat healthy and excersize daily.
  3. First off, dont do this because you're embarassed or want to be like your friends. If you choose to work out and diet, do it so that you feel satisfied with yourself. Okay, now that thats out of the way. As an eigth grader, you need to be careful not to push yourself too hard, because your body is still developing, so avoid heavy weights or intense diets. I would recommend reducing the amount of fat you eat (which is obvious), and increasing the protein. Try to run a couple times a week, for at least 20 minutes. As for your goal, I would start small. Make it 5 pounds, and work toward that at first. If you still want to lose weight after that, lose another 5. Making small goals will allow you to have more control over how you want to go about losing weight. And finally, good luck!
  4. Its hard to say if you'd be considered overweight, because we don't know your height. You can't be that overweight, but the key to weight loss is drinking lots of water, eating healthy, and excerising(walking, running, swimming, sports). As for boys not asking you out, just be yourself. If boys don't like you because they think your overweight they aren't worth it anyway. Its very important to have self confidence and believe in yourself, when you like yourself others will too.
  5. it really depends on your height, but unless you are really tall you are probably a bit overweight. just eat healthy, and excercise daily. try doing weight watchers.. but you probably don't want to pay, so just do it on your own, you won't know how many points everything you eat is but just keep track of what you are eating, and it will hopefully help you to make good choices, instead of grabbing some chips. good luck :)
  6. It all depends on your height. When I was your age I was a bit overweight, what I did I joined the GYM with my mother. We used to take some Aerobics classes and we used the treadmill a lot. We used to watch what we ate. I never used to starve myself or use none of those crazy products that are on the market. If you want to loose weight please take the natural approach and have fun with it. Are you doing this for yourself or because your friends are thin.
  7. 1st it depends on how tall you are. If you are, say, above 5'6", then 20lbs is a reasonable goal over a LONGER term. A pound a week is healthy. Fast weight loss is not recommended, unless you want to gain it right back and have ugly stretchmarks. Fast-walking is a great way to start. Then work your way up to jogging and building some muscle. You want to get your heart rate up for an hour 3-4 times a week. Give the extra effort in gym class! Exercise is addicting once you push yourself into it. Salads (yeah, boring) are good to get into. I eat fresh spinach with grated cheddar cheese, so it's super healthy AND filling. Avoid restricting your favorite foods - the key there is PORTIONS. It's okay to have a few french fries, but only a few! If you give it all up, you risk having a binge because you'll be craving them! Don't give up about boys. I was mildly attractive and skinny in 8th grade, and I had just as much luck as you. Just be a nice person. **My perspective: if you're getting skinny just to impress a guy, do you really want to be in a relationship with someone who is that shallow?
  8. Hi, if you are in eight grade, dont do anything fancy to try loose weight. Remember, this is the time of your life you are growing. dont cut down on calories, that may permanantly stunt your growth. Do some weight training and some cardio, and eat healthy. Whatever you do, dont reduce the calories drastically. Any damage you do now will be permanant. You may end up being shorter or smaller. So, the bottomline- do some cardio and weight training, cut out carbs, and eat healthy, but remember to EAT. and make sure you dont stunt your growth.
  9. I found this on this website. There are more tips and info. Weight loss is a tricky topic. Lots of people are unhappy with their present weight, but most aren't sure how to change it — and many would be better off staying where they are. You may want to look like the models or actors in magazines and on TV, but those goals might not be healthy or realistic for you. Besides, no magical diet or pill will make you look like someone else. So what should you do about weight control?
