I am 155 lbs how many calories a day should I be consuming if I want to lose weight?
Before I had my baby I was 130 lbs now I am 155 and I am trying to lose weight. I am not sure how many calories I should be consuming a day because I am not used to dieting. I am working out 5 days a week one hour a day. I want to lose weight fast but in a healthy way so I can keep it off. How many calories a day is the lowest that I can go before going into the danger zone?

- Just be as low as you can. The secret to dieting is not to eat nothing or as little as possible. You just have to try to eat a few calories as possible (With, obviously, little-no fat) and burn off any calories you do take in. Something like a treadmill is good for this, as it tells you how many you have burned. (I've lost 15 pounds this way in a week ^^)
- 1200 calories combine with the exc. plan that you are doing is excellent, if you feel a little dizzy, then try 1500 calories... Good Luck!
- You didn't mention if you were breastfeeding or not? Because if you are, I wouldn't bother with dieting just yet. Simply cut all all saturated fats, sugary drinks and sweets and get that baby in rhe pram and start walking! If you have stopped feeding, I would cut out dairy food. It's just fat anyway and you can get calcium from other things such as soy or fish. When I cut out dairy, all my allergies went away, I lost my wobbly tum (that I had waaaay before I got pregnant) and ended up skinnier than what I was before we conceived. Good luck.
- 1000 is a good place to start. keep going lower if its not working.
- Eat only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Nothing other than water in between. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%. Chew each morsel at least 32 times to activate ur body to generate signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals. Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day. U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time. Do not be in a hurry. This schedule will also be helpful in maintaining good healthy weight.
- If you want to lose weight then you should not be consuming anymore than 1200 calories a day. xx
