Ways to lose pounds fast

How can I lose weight fast while living a homesteading lifestyle?

I had 3 kids in a row and was put on bed rest for all of them. I know how to eat healthy. But need to loose about 40lbs. My lifestyle will maintain good fitness and health, but it will not help me lose weight fast, and I have a wedding and my 5 year anivercery in 2 months. I know it wouldnt be healthy to lose that amount that fast, but i will take what i can get. Does anyone know of a way that i could lose weight fast at the start and then gradualy slow it down, so that my body does not go into starvation mode and keep on all the calories that i eat. My new eating style is very old fasioned, milk from family cow, friut and veggies from garden, free run chicken and eggs. And we are getting a wood stove so I will be chopping wood too. All the work that is involved in getting the food will keep the weight off, but I need to lose the weight now, not in the two years it will take otherwise.

  1. Excess weight or obesity is by far the number one health concern in this country. Sixty percent of Americans are either overweight or obese, including over 20 percent of teenagers. All are at risk for serious physical and emotional health problems. Over three-quarters of obese adults, for example, suffer from high blood pressure, high cholesterol, coronary heart disease, diabetes or osteoarthritis. Nearly 40 percent have more than one of these conditions. They are also at risk for stroke and cancer. There are over 300,000 deaths per year from weight related causes. Body Mass Index or BMI is a good way to determine if you are carrying too much weight. The BMI is based on your height and weight, but it gives a better estimate than the older ideal body weight tables. Click here to calculate your BMI. Although there are many general causes for weight problems, the most responsible self-empowering one is that you’re simply eating too many calories for the amount of energy you’re expending. To control your weight you either have to decrease your calories or increase your exercise or some combination of the two. On and off dieting will not take care of the problem. Maintaining a healthy weight is a matter of day by day conscious control of both the amount and types of foods you eat and the level of physical activity in your life. <--Weight Loss--> <--http://www.healthylifeday.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=81&Itemid=62 -->
  2. just get off the comp and go out and run its so hot outside, go sweat like crazy and ull lose some weight. theres no point asking losing weight questions online, u just have to go out and do them urself
  3. It will not take you 2 years to lose that weight, but at least 4 months. Milk from a cow will not help you in your endeavor, you may want to go as far as not drinking it. I am 5'5 and weigh 135 I am also 28 and have had 3 kids. I joined weight watchers last march and lost 42 pounds by August. Also, it certainly wouldn't hurt for me to tell you that portion is everything. Instead of eating a whole candy bar, eat half of one, hell, eat HALF of everything you eat and you will never have a weight problem.Drink 8 - 10 glasses of water a day, green tea is very good for your body as an antioxidant and help subtly speed up the metabolism. Salads (without fatty dressings and cheese) are very good for you, chicken is the king of meat in my opinion, as long as you don't fry it. Avoid fast food entirely, and walk anywhere you can as often as possible and get ahold of the 8-10 minute tae bo if you can. Drink diet sodas and juices (aka - cherry coke zero, sobe lean, crystal light, etc.) avoid sugar, switch to the 100 calorie snack packs, including popcorn. Eat apples, they are very filling! Cheese is an unecessary evil as well, so is milk, if you have to have it, drink the fat free kind. 100 calorie popcorn is a great snack. Eat turkey lunchmeat instead of a whole sandwich, etc. Eating is necessary, over eating is not. I also have a meal shake in place of a meal, I find it incredibly helpful at 3:00 in the afternoon.
  4. girl tell ur man to help you out and let him take you to L.A fitness or 24 hour fitness and he can be really supportive and my friend said that her teacher went to to those gyms and lost a lot of weight there

  6. To successfully lose weight, you must carry out a plan to balance your caloric intake with exercise. Ideally, dieting should be done by eating a nutritionally balanced, low-calorie diet and increasing physical activity. I found useful informations at
  7. Losing weight is a simple equation: Expend more energy Feed less fuel So the answer to your question to do it fast is to eat much less (I would stick to fruit and vegetables as you are doing but limit the dairy to only skimmed milk) but you also need to exercise a lot. The best type of exercise for rapid weight loss and elevated metabolism is HIIT. This is where you alternate fast running and sprinting. It will totally tire you during the workout but you need only do five minutes a day. I recommend you work out in the morning before you eat - that way the fuel that will be burned is your fat, and not some meal that you have recently eaten. Eat mainly slow burn low GI foods, I recommend starting the day with porridge and eating especially fruits with stones - these are of low GI. Remember to keep your portion sizes low. You can eat healthier but if you eat too much, you will not lose any weight. I've included some helpful links below including a link to my own program that I am currently using, you may find it helpful, as well as a description of HIIT.
  8. *Drink LOADS of water. No, don't drink, GUZZLE. Not only is it really good and flushes toxins outta your system, but if you drink enough it kinda tricks your brain into thinking you're not hungry. *Don't eat when you're hungry, because if you do, you tend to overeat (the brain takes 20 mins to realise that it's full so if you eat until you feel full you will regret it later) so have a set kinda schedule to eat - why not use your school routine like the times when you have break and lunch and stuff. *Drink herbal tea. Actresses like Eva Longoria drink this a lot because it tricks the brain into thinking it's full (and it's more effective than the water thing) and so they don't need to eat as much. *Walk instead of driving. If you can't walk, cycle. If you can't cycle, keep moving your feet around in the car. *Get up 10 minutes earlier everyday, turn on the CD Player and dance like a total LOON, it's the best time of the day to exercise because it gets your metabolism going faster. *Have a good breakfast EVERY morning, it also gets your metabolism going faster. *If you're a crisp/potato chip addict, confuse your brain by having an apple. The crunchiness makess your brain think that you're eating crisps/potato chips. *Try diabetic chocolate - it doesn't have as much sugar and fat and stuff in. *Satisfy your chocolate craving by eating sugary fruits - this type of sugar is good for you in moderation. Hope this helps, and good luck with the weight loss, but don't go crazy xo P.S. I don't really know what metabolism, but I know it's good if it's quite fast/high.
